About
Welcome to Tony's Barbecue & Steakhouse, a delightful haven for meat lovers nestled at 6809 Bayway Dr, Baytown, TX. As a prominent newcomer in the culinary landscape, this branch carries the esteemed name of Tony's, known for its robust flavors and hearty portions.
Upon entering Tony's, you immediately feel the warm and inviting atmosphere. Customers rave about the friendly service from staff like Jerry and others at the helm, making every visit a touch more special. The restaurant is impeccably clean, enhancing the overall dining experience, especially for those eager to indulge in quality food without worry.
Now, let’s dive into the meat of the matter — literally! Diners have had mixed experiences with dishes here. For instance, the 10oz ribeye is a standout, expertly cooked to tender perfection, seasoned just right, and praised for its value. The classic steak experience is well-represented, promising a fulfilling meal that won’t disappoint (if you’re a steak enthusiast, this is a must-try!).
Alongside the steak, the three-meat plate offers a variety that can be both intriguing and exhilarating. Although reviews have highlighted some inconsistency with the brisket, the flavorful ribs still steal the spotlight. Pairing it with delicious sides like fried okra and ranch potatoes adds a gratifying crunch to the meal, embodying the spirit of Southern cuisine.
Of course, no barbecue experience is complete without a mention of the sauces. Recently, there have been mixed reactions to Tony's barbecue sauce, with some customers feeling it has become too thin and vinegary. However, those who know their way around the menu suggest opting for different toppings to elevate your dish more to your liking.
For those looking for a lighter yet equally satisfying option, the baked potato loaded with chopped meat has garnered positive reviews. Generously topped, this dish encapsulates comfort food at its best, serving as a hearty side that complements the star attractions wonderfully.

“ Wife and I ate here on a Sat night. We were the only dine in customers. We had heard this was a new Tony's branch. Other Tony's locations haven't impress me. Nice atmosphere as the place is literally brand new. Nice new parking lot too. We were greeted by Jerry (and the whole crew) an old Baytown hand and had a great conversation. I'm a steak man so I ordered the classic 10oz rib eye, medium with fries. I'm pretty critical of my steaks and at $23 I was skeptical. Don't be. It was perfect, tender, seasoned right with no gristle. Including the fries, if you dont want seasoned fries tell them when you order as these had a little "kick. My wife had a 3 meat plate. Sausage, ribs and brisket. The ribs were very good, but nothing about the other 2 sides were boastable. We both agreed the brisket was bland. Ranch potato's and fried okra were very good. Okra was Sysco brand but cooked to order and delicious. The restaurant was very clean. "If" they keep to the current traditions they will be a big hit, let's hope so. Stop in and try the hamburger, I've heard it is good too. ”
“ Mont Belvieu Toni's is where I go. The meat is always good. I gave them a 4 because they started making their barbecue sauce extremely thin like a bunch of vinegar in it or something and it horrible now and I hate their sauce now. Their mix vegetable always look to been there all day and green beans it just can green beans. Now their bake potato cheese in not of good quality. ”
“ Finally got a chance to order something from here. Baked potato with chopped meat really hit the spot. They weren’t skimpy on the meat or toppings. Fried okra was on point. Guy who took the order was very friendly. Happy to have them in the area. ”
“ The food and service is excellent. we just had a their Monday special, Grilled Chicken breath with sautéed onions and mushrooms, salad and an enormous stuffed potato. Try them any day or evening , and then you can say Thanks Shay! You will not ve disappointed! ”
